4th of July is here and if you’re non-American like me, you might get a little confused by this holiday. Americans dress up in red white and blue colors, eat a bunch of meat, drink and blow things up. Usually, they spend a lot of money on themed party decorations, snacks, fireworks and spend some quality family time enjoying their independence.
Basically having a good time celebrating freedom of a country where most of the citizens are far from free.
Above it all independence day is the top holiday for our consumer society. Every single corporation you can think of and most of the brands are looking for a way to monetize this holiday. Just like any other holiday. To sell and to buy. This one is special because it’s main focus is for the American patriotic consumer.
Why am I and the rest of the world so excited about the 4th of July?
Because of the sales.
Many of my favorite stores are having great sales for independence day and most of them are worldwide. So we all can get cheaper stuff because of your freedom. Thanks, America.
Most of the discounted stuff is red white and blue color, or have an Americano flag on it, but if you dig long enough I’m sure you’ll find something without the American stamp on it.
Target, for example, is having 4th of July sales with 30% off with discount code America. Only till Thursday.
Walmark went big this year and cut their prices really good. You can choose from several discounted categories like clearance, rollbacks, special buy and more to save some serious money.

Happy independence day.
